Dr. Barefield has been practicing pediatric dentistry in the local Duncanville area since 1982, and her commitment to high-quality, compassionate care will be very apparent from your child’s first visit. After completing her undergraduate degree at Fisk University in Nashville, Dr. Barefield achieved her dental doctorate at Baylor College of Dentistry. She also earned her MSD in Pediatric Dentistry and is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, which is the highest distinction in the pediatric specialty. She is honored to have served as an Oral Board Examiner and spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Barefield has two grown children and three grandchildren. In her spare time, she regularly gets involved with activities at the Concord Baptist Church and is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Dallas. She’s also passionate about volunteering as well when she isn’t busy at the dental office; this commitment includes being a provider at H.I.S Bridgebuilders Dental Clinic, Christina’s Smile, Give Kids a Smile, and Texas Mission of Mercy. When it comes to personal hobbies, she enjoys listening to jazz music, quilting, hiking, and traveling.
